Pedigree Applications

 

There are 3 alleles for blood type: A, B, and O

A and B are Codominant

A and B are both Dominant over O

They are represented like this: IA, IB, i PHENOTYPE: GENOTYPE: Type A IAIA or IAi Type B IBIB or IBi Type AB IAIB Type O ii

Pedigrees are basically the "family tree" of a family. They can show all the people that are related to a specific person.

Pedigrees are often used for medical records to determine where a disease might have started in the family, or whether or not a particular person is related to the subject.
